Si-Al-Ba-Ca manufacturing process
Silica, bauxite and coke are mixed evenly and added to a submerged arc furnace to produce silicon- aluminum alloy. It is then added in portions to CaO and coke, which promotes the formation of silicon calcium aluminum. After adding the barium ore and coke in batches, Si-Al-Ba-Ca is formed.
The composition of the Si-Al-Ba-Ca alloy is generally: Si>30%, Ca>6%, Ba>9%, Al>8%.
Silicon-Aluminum-Barium-Calcium are widely used in the production of high quality steel now. It is suitable for deoxidation in various steelmaking forms. Especially suitable for deoxidation of converter steelmaking. It can reduce inclusions in molten steel and improve the fluidity of molten steel.
